Day trip to Montenegro from Dubrovnik

We are having 3 night in Dubrovnik our first time there. I would like to do a day trip to Montenergo most likely as a tour we won't be driving ourselves. Any suggestions who to go with? is it worth it? Any suggestions appreciated

We went with Dubrovnik Riviera Tours on a Peljesac Wine Tour and would have used them to Montenegro if we had not had a car. Very professional and our driver / guide was amazing.

EIDT: Valerie (below) mentions Peter. He was our driver too. Delightful person!

We used Petar Vlasic of the same company Laurel mentioned above. We did two day trips with him - Mostar and Montenegro. He was great - nice car, safe driver, great historian about the conflicts there. We had two really great days with him.

There is also a public bus that goes to Kotor from Dubrovnik. It takes about 2 hours. It's not expensive. Not sure of the return trip logistics.

Valerie as you did both trips with Peter and we only have time for one can you suggest which place you think would be best to see in a day Montenegro or Mostar.

Kotor and the coastal part of Montenegro is very scenic, but the architecture and scenery is also quite similar to Dubrovnik. Mostar is a quite different experience. The scenery is more rugged, the town has a large muslim population so you have many mosques and the architechture is very Ottoman. The town centre has been beautifully rebuild, but beyond it you still find ruins from the war.
I found Mostar to be a more moving experience, whereas the Bay of Kotor is very pleasant with some seriously gorgeous views if you drive up to Mt Lovcen.
