We are spending a few days in October in Split and want to do a day trip to Hvar. Would anyone recommend a guide to get us out of the main city to see more of the island? There will be six of us. How easy is it for us to get from Split to Hvar in early October?

See how the catamaran schedule works out for you. Havr and Stari Grad are quite well linked by bus. If you had something else in mind, I would check with the tourist office, since you would need a van.
