Daughter travelling solo

My daughter thought that she had her trip to Croatia planned but the company has just cancelled, she is on the waitlist for a Rick Steve tour. Can anyone here recommend a travel company that could organise a 14 day trip for her in late April? She doesn’t want to self-drive but she’s a very confident driver so could do that if needed. Many of you have organised your own trips so do you have any advice or recommendations?

Try privatedriverguideincroatia.com.
We have used them for a 2 night trip and they were very professional and well priced.
Just as an aside, Croatia is easy to drive from city to city with beautiful New roads, it’s the small coastal cities where you run into the narrow, car free or hilly streets, such as Rijeka, Šibenik, Zadar, Split, Dubrovnik.

Also, she might look into a small boat cruise down the coast as part of her trip. Katerina line is one.

If she had a tour planned, then she likely has an itinerary available, she still has time to plan a trip herself. A couple good guidebooks, forums like this, and the internet is all that is needed. It is just a matter of arranging transport and hotel rooms mostly. You do not mention her age, being 18 vs 60 would make some difference in advice, as well as budget level.

For Croatia, bus is the main mode of transport as there are few rail lines. They are clean, plentiful, and efficient. They do not even require advance purchase of tickets, though for some, like Flixbus, it would be easy and likely cheaper to buy ahead.

For hotels, Booking.com is a good start, but there are lots of resources.

If it were my daughter:
She takes care of me every time I go (every year). Which is why I recommend her so often. After coming to Europe almost every year since the 1980's i am comfortable recommending 4 guides in Europe and she has consistently been the best of the 4.

Croatia is a really easy place to travel—the public transport system is great and English is widely spoken. If she wants to post her wish list here, we can tell her how to achieve it. The only reason to do a tour would be for the camaraderie.

Thank you everyone, this is very helpful information. My daughter is 40 and very happy to travel by bus and has ordered her Rick Steves travel guide.
