Dalmatian coast

Hi first of all, what an awesome forum - all the feedback from here has been amazing. Based on that I've come up w an itinerary and wanted advice on things I should add/omit. And also would like feedback on hotels, things to do etc. Will be traveling in September as a family of 4 (2 kids, 6 and 8 years old).
Thank you so much!

Day 1 - Dubrovnik (hotel for 2 nights - contemplating between royal palm and Ariston hotel)

Day 2 - Dubrovnik (any suggestions on things to definitely do in dubrovnik appreciated. Kayaking etc.

Day 3 - morning 9am bus to korkula (is that the best way to get there?)
Leave luggage in storage and hang out
6pm ferry to split
hotel in split (any recommendations)

Day 4 - walk around Diocletian palace (we live in a big city so don't want to spend much time there as we don't want to only be in crowded places. Plus my kids love the water)

Rent a car and drive to zadar via Trogir (stop for coffee. Or should we do something else?)

Hotel in zadar for two nights - considering falkensteiner club - any feedback on the hotel?

Day 5 - zadar (are there any short day trips from here that should'nt be missed?)

Day 6 zadar
In evening drive to pkitvice and stay the night. Any recommendations?

Day 7 - plutvice national park
Drive to Zagreb in the evening
Hotel in Zagreb

Korcula is an island so you will need ferry both ways.(read Korchoola). Next to beautiful town Korcula (the island is Korcula and the town, too) is little town of Lumbarda with sandy beach. That's kind of unique on Dalmatian coast (mostly pebble beaches). I think your boys would appreciate if you stay few days there. Probably more than Dubrovnik, Split, Zadar. Plitvice National Park is super beautiful but is crowded in season. Start early morning.

In Dubrovnik-

Ride the cable car above the town and hike down
Walk out to Banje Beach and look for people with placards - we found several - and do the half day kayaking around Lokrum Island
Walk to St. Jacobs Beach - it's an easy walk up Supila - and it's a beautiful empty sandy beach

Consider Krka National Park - you can swim here with the waterfalls.

The bus from Dubrovnik will definitely get you to Korcula--it takes the ferry at Orebic.
