Customs in Zageb

Hello,
Does anyone have information about passport control and customs in Zagreb?

We are flying from DTW, via CDG to Zagreb. I am wondering how long does the whole landing and going through PC and customs take. We want to figure out if we can book a food tour the first night.

We land at 2:35 and the food tour is supposed to start at 4. I am thinking that will not happen, but the hotel is only 20 minutes from the airport. We are traveling in early October.

I honestly wouldn't risk it as there is no flight that is leaving on time these days. I'm going to guess you will still have to get from your hotel to where the food tour will start, assumably in central Zagreb. That doesn't leave you with very much wiggle room and I think it wouldn't be worth the stress to try and make it.

You will go through immigration in CDG (be ready for that mess) not in Zagreb. That aside, 90 minutes for landing, getting to the hotel, checking in and then running straight out the door for a 4pm food tour doesn’t sound reasonable. It’s also not being very kind to yourselves at the end of a long travel day. Zagreb is fun, easy to navigate and super chill. I would advise you to keep it breezy that night.

That seems to be good thinking

but the hotel is only 20 minutes from the airport

Is that during the time of day you would be there, or the googlemap 'ideal' condition.? That '20 minute' ride could stretch to 45+ at your mid afternoon time

Checked bags? If so, think of the snow ball in satan's domicile for your prospect of success.

You will go through passport control in Paris. In Zagreb you just need to get your bags and go. Customs is a walk through and requires no interaction with a human. The Zagreb airport is small. Traffic can be bad, though.

Thank you all for your replies,

We will look for a food and wine tasting for lunch the next day. Any recommendations?
