We are arriving in Dubrovnik late afternoon on July 29. And we need local currency to pay for,our apartment. What currency is used in Croatia and are there ATMs at the airport?
Yes turn right on leaving the baggage collection and customs area.
There are four or five regular Croatian bank ATMs at the airport.
Here is the official airport site

The Croatian currency is the kuna. 1 kuna = 15¢. Check with your bank to see if you can withdraw a sufficient amount to pay for your apartment and have money for personal expenses. Also inform your bank and credit card issuers that you will be traveling overseas.
These days, there are ATMs everywhere, and they always dump out local currency. Ensure that you are not assessed a fee for withdrawals; we have a card which does not. The kuna is roughly 7:1 to the dollar. A 1/2 liter beer at 16K is roughly $2.25.
Thanks everybody. Really looking forward to this side trip from our European trip.
