What is the best small ship, comfort, food and price for this type of cruise?

We have taken Viking on several cruises like this. About 1000 passengers. Very good food. Comfortable but not blingish.
Price point depends on the cabin selected. Excursions can be expensive.

They advertise excursions are included

There is one excursion included in every port. Others in each port are pay as you go. We have done some of each.
