Cruising the Croatia Coast

Is anyone aware of of a cruise ship company that serves the Croatia coast (maybe Montenegro too)?

I'm thinking of a week in the Czech Republic, Poland and Hungary. Then, take a 5 or 6 day cruise along the Croatian coast. Royal Caribbean covers one or two cities but goes on to Greece where we have already been.

I thought, after country hopping for a week, a week cruise with day trip excursions to different cities along the coast would be relaxing and avoid having to navigate through the country. It appears to me that navigating through Croatia is not as easy as covering a few German cities by train.

Any suggestions?

Start with Sail Croatia and then take a deeper dive into exploring cruising along the Croatian coast. Also keep in mind there are ample opportunities to explore the coast via the easy to use and economical ferry system.

Ditto Steven’s response. You can also look at Katerina-line.com for cruises up the coast. It is very easy to coast-island hop. Check croatianferries.com for connections and times. For Montenegro you can take a bus or hire a driver/guide.

Croatia is definitely harder to get around if you are used to the excellent train network in much of the rest of Europe. But, Croatia does have a good system of express buses, and as noted above, ferries and catamarans offer easy connections by boat long the coast. I was just in Split in October and island hopped for a few days from Split to Hvar, Brac, and Vis, and the ferries worked really well. The rides themselves were quite pleasant. And cheap!

I took a picture of the Katarina Line boats and information when I was in Croatia last September because they looked like something that I might be interested in for the future. I would at least check out their schedule and prices.

AZAMARA cruise line leaves from Venice for a 9 night, 8-stop itinerary along the Croatian coast. We just booked it for ourselves.
