Please help as my head is melting! We will be traveling to Croatia in June for 14 nights, 2 adults and 2 teenagers 13 & 16. Staying in Dubrovnik for 4 nights but trying to decide what is the best thing to do for the other 10 nights. Korcula looks beautiful and it's really appealing to me but I'm worried that 10 nights might be too long, especially trying to keep teenagers entertained, one in particular likes to have an itinerary. I was thinking we could chill out a bit, swim/kayak, explore the town, do a couple of day trips to some other Islands close by. Any suggestions for best places/areas to stay and would we need a car to get around?
Alternatively, would it be better to hire a car and travel up the coast to Markaska or Omis (Or open to other suggestions) where there might be more things to do/bigger town etc. We don't want to do multiple destinations/island hop as just want to have some relaxation time in-between sightseeing and not be packing up every few days. We're not sit on the beach all day types, like a bit of adventure/exploring/culture/history but going for a nice coffee or meal also. Any advice really appreciated.
