I will be in Croatia in January, mainly on the coast from Zadar soutward. Any advice regarding weather and what to expect regarding crowds? And any other tips will be welcome. Thanks!

I don't think you will have to worry about crowds. I would stick to the main cities and make the most of it!
Check out a weather website (I use wunderground) to get typical stats. The wind can be especially brutal at certain times of year--they call it the bura.

I don't think you will have to worry about crowds. I was in Rovinj in October 2022, and the place was sparse with tourists. January will attract people off for the holidays, but I imagine the crowd shouldn't be much different.
