I'm excited about my up coming RS tour in September. What I'm looking for is a little information on will I be climbing many stairs? I'm trying to decide whether to take my rolling carry-on bag or my carry on backpack.

I was on this tour in late April/early May and it was terrific!
I don't remember any hotels without an elevator although if I was on a lower floor I sometimes just used the stairs, so there might have been one.
There were a few hotels with a few stairs at the entry from the street, but nothing that would make me wish I had a back-pack. And because I also had to bring a c-pap I had a second bag all the time.
If it's a critical decision, you might call the tour department and ask them.

Yes. Each tour can use different hotels, so the RS Tour Department will know all the details of your particular tour.
