Slovenia, Croatia 21 days-help with itinerary

Hi all
We are in our 40's, a couple and active and are planning a 21 day trip through Croatia, Slovenia and maybe Bosnia....the only firm plans so far are meeting another couple on Korcula May 27th.. We will fill in what we want to see later-just planning general route and overnights now
Here is what we were thinking....
May 21st-arrive late Dubrovnik -get car- stay in Cavtat
May 22nd-wake up at leisure, explore Caveat am then drive to Mostar-night in Mostar
May 23rd-am explore Mostar-go to Sarajevo -night in Sarajevo
May 24th -explore Sarajevo -night in Sarajevo
May 25th-drive to Kotor -night in Kotor
May 26th-explore and beach-night in Kotor
May 27th-head to korcula-meet friends
May 28th, 29th, 30th, stay in villa , beach, day trip to Miljet, relax
May 31st-head to Dubrovnik with friends via peninsula -wine tasting also night in Dubrovnik
June 1st-explore Dubrovnik, night in Dubrovnik
June 2nd-head to Split-see Palace-night in Split
June 3rd-head to Pilvtice with stops en route-night near park
June 4th-explore park early, head to Rovinj-Night in Rovinj
June 5th-explore Istria-night in Rovinj
June 6th -head to ljubljana-overnight there
June 7th-explore ljubljana
June 8th -head to Bled-overnight there
June 9th-julian alps maybe overnight Bled or somewhere else
June 10th -explore am-night in London for flight
June 11th-early flight home from London
So this is rough. I would love some feedback on i) is this too tight/loose? ii) places to visit en route iii) I was thinking of trying to fit in Budapest-can you see room? iv) should we make all reservations ahead of time or do you think there will be flexibility to still find nice places as we go. We are fairly picky with where we stay and like local places with character-mid range price wise.
