Croatia, Slovenia and a bit of Bosnia and Montenegro

We have the following itinerary for our adventure in Croatia, Slovenia with a dip into BIH and Montenegro. Based on Rick’s guidebook and many experts across several forums.
Husband and I are early 70’s, from Canada have travelled and driven most of Europe. We are comfortable with 1 nighters and 4-5 hour drives. Focus on history, architecture, culture, good food and wine. We may not have another opportunity to visit these countries so picked the highlights (hopefully) to explore and record in our memory banks, perhaps not the itinerary for everyone.
Flight from London arriving,
Zagreb 3 nights-September 3,4,5 2025 Rent car on September 6 and head to
Ljubliana 3 nights-September 6,7,8. September 9 head to
Lake Bled 1 night-September 9. September 10 drive Vrisic Pass (If construction is complete)
Kobarid 1 night-September 10. September 11 depart Kobarid for
Rovinj 4 nights-September 11,12,13,14. Depart Rovinj for
Plitvice NP 1 night-September 15.Then head to
Zadar 2 nights-September 16, 17. Leisurely drive to
Split 4 nights-September 18,19,20,21. Now to dip into Bosnia on September 22
Mostar 1 night-September 22. A bit of backtracking to Orebic and car ferry to
Korcula 3 nights-September 23, 24, 25. Early Saturday September 27 car ferry to Orebic and onto
Kotor 1 night-September 27 On Sunday September 28 drive to
Dubrovnik 4 nights September 28,29, 30 & October 1 (Return car to airport on 28th with transfer back to Dubrovnik.
October 2 depart Dubrovnik to London Heathrow and back to Canada.
All flights and accommodations are booked.
I do have a few questions for the expert minds in this forum.
Should the Vrisic Pass not be open what alternative route would you take to Korbarid from Lake Bled?
I understand if one stays at Hotel Jezero one can purchase a 1 day pass to the lakes and the hotel will stamp it for additional entrance the following day. Is this correct?
Would it be better to drop our car in Split and pickup a second rental to continue or keep one car the whole trip? Haven’t booked car yet though will be a local company.
Our days will be filled and our feet will be tired but what memories!
Any suggestions comments most appreciated.

I tend to concur that you can drop the car off when you arrive in Split
and pick one up when you depart. You should most likely have no need
for a car in Split (a day trip to Trogir, for example, is easily done by bus),
and you save 3 days of car rental and parking fees, and eliminate any
worries the rental car is damaged if you left it in Split someplace.

I would visit Mostar before Split and take one night from split and add to Mostar. One night stopovers are not ideal. Then I would definitely drop the car in Split, ferry to Korčula, then ferry to Dubrovnik.
There you could rent a car for your short trip to Kotor. Get the first ferry out.
Maybe take a night from Dubrovnik to add to Kotor. I did read somewhere that a new ferry line from Dubrovnik to Kotor was going to start.
Check Adriatic-lines.com. The ferry doesn’t run everyday.

Thanks for your responses.
As I mentioned all our accommodations are booked making adding dropping days as planned rather a nightmare.
