Hello,
My husband and I just got tickets from Seattle to Croatia. We depart Seattle Sunday, September 30 (arrive in Dubrovnik Monday, October 1) and depart Dubrovnik Friday, October 12. Based on my reading, I know this time may not be ideal, but it was the only time we could find for our trip.
I am hoping for some feedback about this "island-hopping" trip. We are hoping to relax on the beach, swim, walk down little streets, eat seafood, visit castles and churches, and sit back and people watch at cafes.
I checked the Krilo Ferry schedule and included the departure/arrival times below.
In addition to feedback about this itinerary, I would also appreciate advice about the following:
- Is it best to book ferry rides now, online, in advance of entering the country? www.krilo.hr
- For lodging is it best to choose AirBnB, small hotels, or bed and breakfasts? We are not splurging, maybe $50-$100/night would be ideal.
- Advice about what to do at each of these destinations, given our limited time.
