Croatia-Italy Itinerary

Hi, I will be honeymooning in Croatia/Italy this June-July. We will be arriving in Split and flying home from Rome Italy. It is a short trip only 9-10days including travel. Anyone have any itinerary suggestions? We would love to visit the national park in Croatia if possible.
Any suggestions would be helpful for both Croatia and Italy since I only have our flights booked.
Thanks

You don't have much time.
Split, rent a car and do day trip to Plitvice, then you can either return car in Split or drive to Dubrovnik and return it there. If you return it in Split (cheaper) go by bus.
Dubrovnik
ferry to Bari, train to Naples, boat to Sorrento
Sorrento - day trip to Amalfi coast
back to Naples - train to Rome
I don't feel like putting how many days you stay where. This is what we did (and then some) but we had more days.

Hvar and Korcula. Both very nice. Hvar had more tourists and a castle above the town. I liked Korcula better. In nearby Lombarda there is a sandy beach which is very rare in that area of Adriatic Sea.

Hi,
What a great idea to travel from Croatia to Italy. I used RoutePerfect to plan my route when I traveled from France to Portugal and even got to see Spain for a few nights. I never thought that it is possible, usually my traveling is pretty stranded and now I am inspired to chose different ways to enjoy Europe.

Which national park? Plitvice, Krka etc? With only 9/10 days ie 8/9 nights including travel means how long there - 7 nights? You don't really have time to cover Croatia and Italy. Jet lag?

Fly into Split. A full day is needed for Split, another for Plitvice if this is where you want to go (Krka is further) plus a day in Trogir. So stay 4 nights in Split. Then fly to Rome for 3 nights then home. The minimum stay on the islands is usually 3/4 nights, so you aren't going to have time for this unless you scrap Italy.
