croatia in the fall

We want to go to Croaitia for about 10 to 12 days in the fall and it will be our first time there. what is the latest we can go in the fall and it still be decent weather? Thanks. Any itinerary suggestions. We love to walk, sight see, eat good food and just enjoy the culture. We are not interested in lying on a beach or swimming so that is why we are going when it is a bit cooler. Thanks a lot.

Most of the replies I see mention October as being when the weather turns. I’d look over some stats on a weather website to try to avoid rain, but if you are not interesting in swimming and outdoor activities, then I really would not have any concerns about any part of October. I don’t like cold weather and my usual mo is being outside, but if going in fall, I’d concentrate on Istria, where things like truffles make fall a nice time to be there.

There is a lot of weather choices between Sept 22 and Dec 21. Even in the center of the season it is sweater weather all day and light jacket in the evening; and not the weather for the top deck of the island ferry. But things will be less crowded. I went last September, wouldn't do it again. I enjoyed tge May and June and July trips more. But we are all different.

I love good food but Croatia wasnt my best trip for that. I did better in Albania. Yea, surprised me too.
