Planning to visit Croatia in Mid February to April 2025. Comfortable renting cars. Interested in advice on how to allocate time and where to stay. We are from mid Canada with sub zero weather the norm at that time of year and Croatia should be much warmer. We are retired seniors in good physical condition and look forward to an exciting trip! Advice most welcome!

It will not surprise me at all if someone pops in eventually to say they were there in those months, but I would also look wider and maybe search online ("Croatia in February") to get the most info possible.
Of course there will be positives and negatives, but sounds like a wonderful adventure!
I'd look up if any festivals and things like that are happening to help structure the trip, which will most like be primarily centered on the cities (Zagreb, Split, Dubrovnik), but you will be able to see the villages and countryside without crowds.
If you have seen the photos with Plitvice covered in ice, you know one potential plus!
