We are planning a short trip with our adult son and his wife. They have vacation days on either side of Easter Sunday, making this an available time for them. Our question: what's open and what's closed on the 4-day weekend that includes Good Friday, Sat, Easter Sunday and Monday? What might be an ideal 4-6 day itinerary during this time? Many thanks.
I'm sorry that I have no specific information for you, having only visited Croatia in June, July, August and September, but I can tell you this: I hit some sort of holiday in Zagreb in the first half of September last year. The holiday fell on Thursday and many restaurants closed for the entire 4-day weekend. I don't know about the situation with the museums, and Easter might be different, not being beach weather.
For specific sights requiring entry, such as museums, check the web sites. At least some will probably specify their closing days. If that tactic leaves too much unknown, try the Croatian National Tourist Office in NYC.
