We are spending alot of time on the coast of Croatia in June. Including the islands off Croatia. We carry our passport and other items normally in a money belt. But, with going in water what do you all do? Looking for suggestions and solutions. Thank you

I don't have a suggestion that's specific to Croatia, but in general, I would prefer to find somewhere I can lock my valuables, whether that's a hotel safe or a storage locker somewhere.
Sometimes you have to pick the least bad option. Would you feel more secure leaving your passport tucked into a corner of your luggage in your B&B or in the trunk of your rental car, or under a towel on the beach? Or would all of these options be beyond your comfort level, in which case you could take turns going into the water while one person stays behind and keeps an eye on your valuables, or not go in the water at all, or go wading while you carry your valuables above water level.
I'll be curious to read what other travelers prefer to do.
I leave it in my hotel room and don't worry about it. I went swimming in Croatia and never thought to bring it with me.
Technically, you should carry your passport with you at all times in Croatia, but I always carry just a copy of the crucial page on my phone. I have never been asked for it.
Hide your documents and cash etc in a hotel safe if possible or if you don't have this, just somewhere in your luggage, which presumably can be locked. Never leave passports etc in a car.
Leave whatever you need for that day in your beach bag, as everyone else does when they go swimming.
When we have been to Croatia, we just leave our passports in the hotel room along with everything else during our entire stay.
Going to the beach is pretty much the only time that I do use a hotel safe, or otherwise lock valuables inside my suitcase. That means I'm carrying minimal cash to the beach; only what I expect to spend.
