I’m considering the following itinerary:
Fly into Split at 2:00 on Saturday, hopefully catch the 4:00 ferry to Hvar, spend Sat and Sun nights in Hvar, catch 8:00 ferry to Dubrovnik on Monday and stay in Dubrovnik all afternoon Monday and all day Tuesday, catching an 8:30 p.m. flight to Geneva that night for four nights/three days in Haute Savoie before heading back to US. So, to recap, two nights and one full day in Hvar and one night and 1.5 days in Dubrovnik.
I fully recognized that this is a packed itinerary; however, I have small children and rarely get away. While I’m away from home, I like to make the most of my time and I don’t like to sit on the beach for an extended period. I’m usually satisfied with spending the minimum time recommended by Rick at a destination. I’ve thought about doing all three nights in Dubrovnik, but none of the day trips from Dubrovnik seem as lovely as Hvar. All that being said, is this crazy?
