We will be in Dubrovnik in September. What are the best ways to do a day trip to Kotor, Montenegro?

We hired a private driver to drive us around the Bay of Kotor. We made stops in Budva, Kotor, and Perast. I contacted Julija Antunovic who receives excellent reviews on Trip Advisor. She was not available on the the day we wanted to go, but she recommended her colleague, Stjepan. He was excellent! Because he is not from Montenegro, he could not guide us in the places we visited, but he told us about the history of Croatia and Montenegro while driving. We could have hired local guides for each village, but we didn't think it was necessary. This was one of the best days of our trip.
Be sure to bring your passport with you. We forgot, but Stjepan asked us as we were leaving Dubrovnik if we had our passports with us. So we turned around to go back to our hotel to get them. Luckily we hadn't gone too far.
