Hello, we will be spending about 14 days in Croatia then flying to Rome and spending 3 days before returning home to the US. It looks like we will need a COVID test to get into Italy. Anyone familiar testing sites in Split? Checked our airline website but couldn’t find any information. Hoping for some help here. Thank you.
I read on total-Croatia-news.com that there is testing at the split airport M-F 8-4, Sat 7-5 and Sun 8-4. They didn’t mention the cost but I read elsewhere it is about 700 Kuna or around $110. You can also go to total-croatia-news.com/travel/45830-covid-19-testing-centres-croatia. Sorry, I don’t know how to cut and paste yet.
if you are in Croatia for 14 days prior to traveling to Italy and are fully vaccinated, you may not need a test. As of now, traveling in an EU (List C) country for 2 weeks allows traveling across borders without testing. Of course, things can always change.
We will be in Croatia for just under 3 weeks so, with current regulations, will not need to take a test to enter.
We have an OAT trip in October and we are told we need a covid test to get into Croatia and possibly other countries, masks need to be worn ( but this is with a group). Things seem very unsettled in many countries. Sorry, this is not much help. We are trying to decide if we should cancel our trip.
Just left Split--they test right there at the airport. Our flight left at 6:25 am and they were already testing. Many hotels offer the service also (doctor on call). Check times--CDC requires 3 days prior to fight, so you may be able to get one test and make it back to the US on that one (we took our test Saturday for a Tuesday flight).
