Covid certificates for entering Croatia

I think I've got thus figured out, but wanted to make sure I understood correctly....in order to avoid an unpleasant surprise.
From researching this, it appears that proof of vaccination with either 2 covid vaccines or with the Booster (valid for 270 and 365 days from vaccination respectively) is one of the criteria which allows entry into Croatia.
Proof is provided by producing our paper vaccination certificates ?? I looked into getting an EU covid certificate, but it seems typical US citizens are unable to get those ???

Appreciate your help

I believe that your CDC card should be sufficient. In other threads, people have reported being able to use them as their proof of vaccination in most other countries in Europe. I am going to Croatia and expect to be able to show my provincial proof of vaccination, as a Canadian, just as I did in Italy.

The other requirement I'm aware of is that we must prove that we have prebooked accommodation, and there is a form to fill out (Enter Croatia), also. https://reopen.europa.eu/en/map/HRV/7001 The information about other vaccination documents being accepted is mentioned here.

The official list of requirements is here: https://mup.gov.hr/uzg-covid/english/286212 , although this page doesn't mention the proof of accommodation.

Also, here is the information from Easy Jet's Covid 19 Travel Hub:

**Passengers coming from the UK or citizens from a country outside the EU or the Schengen Area must also have proof of paid accommodation booking.*
Important: Fully vaccinated passengers must present a vaccine certificate that complies with Croatia's requirements. Passengers must ensure they meet the requirements previously described to be considered fully vaccinated.
The full list of passengers exempted from possessing a valid EU Digital COVID Certificate or from the abovementioned requirements can be found at the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Croatia.

I went to Croatia a few months back and all that was needed was the CDC Vaccination card at the airport upon entry. With the Vaccination card, no Covid tests were required. Now, Croatian officials are quite familiar with our CDC cards.

You are correct about the entry requirements regarding vaccination, according to my reading. And your CDC card is fine.

It does not appear this form is required but is still recommended, so I would complete it and print. https://entercroatia.mup.hr/

I do NOT think proof of paid accommodations is now required for U.S. citizens, although it was at some point last summer. I cannot find that anywhere on the official Croatian websites. Strangely that requirement disappeared for U.S. citizens and stayed in place for those coming from the UK. I had it with me just in case in September but it was not needed.

@Travelmom - its still a requirement on that easyjet site referenced which is the international travel site. I'm assuming it will drop before summer otherwise I'll need to change up our itinerary quite a lot

@Lissie, i saw that. The odd thing is that they did away with that requirement last fall for people coming from the U.S. but not if coming from the U.K. (which makes me think it might still be in effect and why Easy Jet has it on their website). So while it is possible they have re-instated it, and why I would absolutely take proof if I have it.

This website has all the up to date info and links: https://dailycroatia.com/2022/04/11/croatia-covid-19-weekly-update-041122/?fbclid=IwAR0hYcPVIropCW8n6L1S1GrGsly-8TgXECPKGWxAqBIgg8dmGawb_FTu868#croatia-travel-&-entry-information. It definitely indicates a difference in that policy between the U.S. and the U.K.

And there is a great Facebook group called Covid-19 Info Croatia, which was invaluable to me when planning.

FWIW, we filled out and submitted the enter Croatia form, as it was recommended by our airline to do so. Canadians, leaving in 5 sleeps. Better to be covered all angles I guess. Will need a new backPack for all the back up paperwork.

Judy, you'll be just 12 days ahead of us. I look forward to anything you share about your experience.

I see that only a CDC card is required for US citizen entry into Croatia.
Is this the only requirement for airport transfer in the EU too? We are transferring through Amsterdam and Paris along our adventure.

Retuned home from Dubrovnik last week. Only proof of vaccination was asked on arrival , along with passport. DO NOT need proof of hotel accommodation, which we had and was not asked for, nor was the locator form when we arrived in Italy later. Was a fabulous few days!
