I've got a lot of Croatian friends, who are all very pleased. Of course, the game with England on Wed is going to be the biggest yet.

They will need to produce. Thus far, they have played up to the level of the opponent without going above the opponent. That won't do against England. They need Modric to supply the good passes, and the finish to score.

I agree with James E: I was truly thinking of going to Zagreb for next Sun. Unfortunately, I have a Monday trip that cannot be avoided, so the idea is not possible. But last summer we were in Zagreb in an outdoor bar with 300 of our closest Croatian friends, watching the finals of the Champions league, which featured several of the croatian players. One scored, the place went crazy.

What a terrific game. Or at least I think so. I know next to nothing about Soccer/Football but it sure was exciting to watch this afternoon! Two more games to go and I'm hoping (expecting) they will be equally as engaging. I don't really have a preference in this but I nearly always root for the "little guy". Hooray for Croatia! But I really like England, too......Get on that plane, James E. You don't know when this opportunity will come again! Today is the 11th-game over!

Wow, what a game! Finally a match to disprove an old adage that it is quarter finals that are the World Cup's most exciting matches. Great job, Croatia!

And, of course, Слава Буркина-Фасо! Зимбабве, вперед!
