We are planning a trip to Croatia next May and we would like to charter a boat/yacht (with captain/crew) for a week to tour some of the islands. Couple of questions: 1) does anyone have a recommendation for a reputable charter company? And 2) recommendations on whether to start from Split or Dubrovnik and 3) based on answer to #2, which islands should we visit?

Rick's Croatia/Slovenia book (p. 204, latest edition published in May) recommends www.baracuda.hr for boat rental in Split.

Check The Moorings. They're good everywhere, usually bareboat but can stir up a captain, always sailboats as far as I've seen.
