Catamaran from Dubrovnik to Split

Looking for information and advice on getting a group of 4 from Dubrovnik to Split on a Thursday morning. We heard a catamaran was the way to go, but are having trouble with currency exchange (200,00) - I know that seems silly, but the comma is throwing me off - any help on US dollars. When putting in the exchange, is that truly a comma or a decimal.

Second - is the catamaran the best/fastest way to get there second to flying?

Thanks for helping a fellow traveler!

A comma is like a decimal in Europe.

You can also take an inexpensive bus. There are several lines from the main bus station and it takes about 4 hours or so (with some wonderful views out the window). Flying seems like overkill and Croatia Air may even route you through Zagreb, as opposed to a direct flight (not 100% sure about that, you'll have to check).

The current exchange rate is about 6.5 kuna per dollar, so 200 kuna equates to about $30. You can use the currency converter feature on oanda.com website to see current exchange rates and translate between currencies.

We took the catamaran. It's fast, cheap, and crowded. You get great views of the beach. 200K is about $30. Get there early. First-come-first served, and the boat can be quite crowded. To get seats together, you need to be in line early. We enjoyed the boat. Flying is crazy. Take the boat or a bus.
