We are traveling to Croatia in June for three weeks and are in need of a car. I was wondering if anyone is able to recommend a car rental dealer to use? Also if there is one or several which one should avoid at all cost.
We are landing at Rijeka airport so pick up location around there is preferable.

You will read plenty of "never rent from Company X!!!" complaints regarding just about every car company out there. If you believed them all, you'd never rent from anyone.
In Croatia, I've rented in the past from both Oryx (in Rijeka but not at the airport) and from Sixt. Neither was perfect, but both were OK.
I used EconomyCarRenals the last time to get a good price on the Oryx car. You could also try other broker websites like Kemwel and Auto Europe.
We used Sixt for our rental in Croatia. We rented for 2 weeks for $165 from Zagreb to Dubrovnik.
And we drove into Slovenia, Montenegro, and Bosnia.
They were very professional and I had no complaints. We didn't have any scrapes, scratches, or tickets.....
We even dropped the car at a hotel drop off in Dubrovnik instead of an actual Sixt office which I was a bit leery of, but we snapped photos of all angles of the car.
Carla did you have to pay a one way fee for returning your rental car at a different location? I'm picking up my rental car in Rijeka, but dropping it off in Dubrovnik and the site I bought it through estimated that I'd have to pay a $50 one way fee (to be paid locally).
Did you have to pay a border crossing fee to go into Bosnia? I am having trouble finding a company with no fee or at least a reasonable one to go to Mostar.
