How far in advance do I need to buy ferry tickets from Split to Hvar for July dates and from Hvar to Dubrovnik? It would be for a passenger ferry only don't need the car one. Thanks
Also what side of the Island in Hvar do you get the ferry to Dubrovnik from?
Ilana
From Split, you have 2 options - the ferry to Stari Grad on Hvar - you don’t need tickets in advance for this ferry. Alternatively, you can take the catamaran to Hvar town, which you need tickets for - book anytime from April/May when the schedule is confirmed. Personally, I find Hvar town far too noisy in July, so I would opt to stay in Jelsa, Stari Grad or Vrboska.
Use the ferry companies websites direct rather than using Croatia Ferries - Jadrolinija.hr and Krilo.hr, both available in English.
Hvar town to Dubrovnik - Krilo run the daily morning service and again, you need advance tickets for this line. There is one boat a day, so this does get full in peak season, particularly at weekends, so book well ahead.
