We’ll be traveling in Croatia, Bosnia and Montenegro from mid- May to mid-June. I hope to schedule some down time, (perhaps 3 – 5 days), at the end of our trip at a relaxing, boutique-style, small hotel. Quiet atmosphere with good food & a pool would be ideal; definitely NOT a family hotel. Dubrovnik area, the islands or Montenegro will be ideal. Any recommendations will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
We rented a flat in Dobrota which is on the Bay of Kotor, a 45 minute walk to the walled city (or short cab ride) out of the tourist hordes that arrive on the cruise ships. Down the quay a block or so was this hotel: http://www.palazzoradomiri.com. It is an old villa that has been restored. On the Bay side of the quay is their restaurant. We had afternoon drinks and one splurge dinner. We saw a standard room and it was small. The suites were occupied so we could not see them but it was a place we’d like to spend some time. We have not stayed there however.
Oh, and if you do spend some time in. The Bay of Kotor, this was one of the best days we spent: http://www.montenegro4sail.com. Enjoy your trip!
