looking to do a boat/bike tour.. I have come across a number of outfits
(Island hopping, Sail Croatia, Boat Bike Tours, VBT)
Has anyone had experience with and of these and could share their likes/dislikes/ had a good experience with one not listed?

I have taken at least a dozen cycling trips with VBT, both domestic and in various European nations. Did one barge trip with VBT, in the canals of Burgundy.
I would highly recommend VBT. They have delivered all they promise. Great guides, usually at least two - one cycling and one in the sag van. Very attentive and helpful. And always able to suggest additional rides if you want more mileage. While the barge in Burgundy was compact - has to fit through the small locks - space was adequate. Good space for socializing and for onboard meals. Private bath in each cabin.
A great feature with VBT is the option of airfare being included. I have always found their rates very competitive. And while they list fares from the major international gateway airports, they can also accommodate your local airport as well.
Indeed I rate VBT highly. They may not be the most luxurious in selecting hotels or meals, but always very pleasant. Usually smaller hotels and restaurants. I have always found their selections a good taste of the locale we’re visiting. Bikes and helmets included, and even as an avid cyclist, I have found their bikes more than satisfactory.
Am not familiar with the other firms you mention.

The crew was fantastic!
Every day we stopped at a new island between Dubrovnik and Split. Since we were near the water, the heat never seemed too bad. They fed us extremely well. We cruised along the Adriatic, biked, ate, and explored. Honestly, it was one of the most relaxing vacations I’ve ever been on.

We did Dobrovnik to Split, also Split return (south). This year we are doing Split return north. You can't beat the price!!
