Blue and Green Caves near Split

I'm wondering if anyone has taken the boat excursions from Split or Trogir out to see the caves near Vis? Rick does not mention it in his book, but I've seen pictures from friends-of-friend's vacation where they swam in these BEAUTIFUL caves. I'm wondering if anyone has done this and if you recommend for or against it? Thanks in advance.

I too, am curious about these caves. Have you been able to learn more from other sources. Please share if you have the opportunity--we leave for Croatia in 10 days!

What I have been able to determine is off the internet. There are boat day-trips that take you to either or both. One cave (blue cave, I think) you can swim in but not in the other. They are gorgeous if you look at photos online. Also, I heard that water levels effect the ability to enter the caves (as you enter by boat). Check out this link: atlas-hvar.com/day-tours/blue-cave-tour/

have fun and PLEASE let me know how your trip goes as I am not going until May 2015.
