I don't speak Croatian and I won't have a cell phone and I may not even have a phrase book or guide book, if I can't obtain them before I leave (and I leave in just a few short days). That is why I want to know EXACTLY what to do for this trip from the airport to my hotel. (If you have a sense of the cost and if I could pay by credit card or need to plan on paying in either Euros or the local currency, please explain what to do there also.) I'm also a thin female who looks pretty vulnerable, and I will be traveling alone, so I'm wondering about safety too. Thanks so very much in advance!

Your hotel may give transport instructions on their web site. Do plan to withdraw local currency from an ATM at the airport. The Atlas Bus runs from Dubrovnik airport to a few stops in the city center, or there are taxis. See also tips for travelling solo.
