We know there is an option to go by train, and I'm sure there is a bus, but have been told a cab is cheaper and faster for 4 people. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Direct trains run 3x/day, take 4-5 hours, and could about $20 per person in 2nd class. Buses depart about hourly and only take 2.5 hours, and wouldn't cost any more than a train. Taxi takes 2 hours driving time and costs could be similar with 4 people sharing, but I have no personal experience to offer.
