Bari, IT to Korcula

My wife and I will be in Puglia in September for a Food Tour and would like to follow that up with a few days in Croatia. We're thinking Korcula to avoid the Dubrovnik crowds, but it doesn't seem like the easiest place to get to. Fly to Dubrovnik and then bus to Korcula? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help.

It’s an island with no intl airport, so you must approach from Split or Dubrovnik. It’s pretty remarkably how easily you can get there!
From either city, you can take a catamaran, and from Dubrovnik there is a bus (bus takes ferry).
Check ferry schedule from Bari also.

I believe the ferry goes from Bari to Split, then a different ferry to Korčula. You can check at Croatiaferries.com.
Split has a large airport.

My husband and I also love food/wine tours. We were in Dubrovnik, so we booked a wine tasting tour of the Peljesac Peninsula and then took the ferry from Orebic to Korcula. Wonderful experience!

There is a 7-hour ferry from Bari to Dubrovnik during the travel season. You can then take the Krilo Catamaran or the TP Line or Jadroligna ferry from Dubrovnik to Korcula Town in as little as two hours.
