I would love to get comments on our planned (but not yet confirmed) itinerary:
arrive Durbrovnik - 1-2 days
ferry to Korcula - 4 days
leave Korcula, day trip to Hvar, continue to Split
Split 1 day/1 night - rent a car
drive to Lake Plitvice - late afternoon, night in park hotel, and most of following day (from what I have read, worth the drive)
then drive to either:
Premosten area (3 days)
OR
Trogir (3 days) (with day trips)
depart early morning flight from Split
Just curious, why 4 days Korcula and 2 Dubrovnik. There is more to do in Dubrovnik, one day alone can be spent on Lokrum, swimming and hiking and it takes at least 2 hours to walk the wall. Add in all the great museums and the beach/pier swimming 1-2 days doesn't seem enough. 4 days seems too long on Korcula unless you are visiting people.
"leave Korcula, day trip to Hvar, continue to Split" - I don't think you can do all this in one day; have you checked ferry schedules?
Primošten vs. Trogir - Trogir wins for sure.
I would spend two nights at the park ensuring that you have one full day and don't have to drive exhausted. Slunj is a charming village in the area to consider staying.
