Audio tours

Hi, we are heading for three weeks to Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Montenegro. When we have visited some cities in Europe, we always enjoyed starting in a new city with Rick's audio walking guides just to get our bearings and get some history. However, he doesn't do any for the Balkans so we are looking at other alternatives. We have been reading about VoiceMap as an alternative to Rick. Good reviews and the samples sound good but would like to know if anyone has firsthand experience with them. We prefer exploring on our own rather than local guides so would appreciate any input.

I haven’t used VoiceMap but please come back and leave a report on your experience if you end up using it. I DID travel through Bosnia and Montenegro in September for a month (and have been to Slovenia and Croatia). I had not done a lot of research ahead of time on B and M, and the information I got from my guides was really useful and eye-opening - but I am not normally a “guide” type person either.
