I came across a news item online that said Croatia and Slovenia had just experienced some major devastating floods and storms. We are scheduled to be there in middle of September. From pictures
I was seeing online, I am wondering what condition roads, towns and accommodations might be in by then.
The floods so far hit large parts of Slovenia and also some parts of Southern Austria.
Refer to attached link about impacted areas in Slovenia.

Save river (and others) running towards Croatia has now very high water levels and may cause some more floodings in northern Croatia.
Paul636, Thank you so much for your taking time to send this information! I was beginning to think that the information about the floods and storms in Slovenia and Croatia was "disinformation" since no one else in the Forum mentioned it and I could not find any news about it beyond the few articles on the internet.
I am concerned because we are scheduled to arrive in Zagreb on Sept. 18. I realize that is still some time away but from the pictures that accompanied the articles, I saw a great deal of flooding and streets blocked with huge trees and debris in Zagreb so I thought it might take a long time to get things back to normal and fit for tourists. When an area is busy trying to clean up from such events, I can only imagine that they do not need nor want tourists in the way. Likewise, for the tourists, it might not be the best vacation situation, either. Anyway, we arrive in Zagreb for 4 nights (Plitvice tour from here) and then drive into Slovenia to stay in the Radovanovic for a few nights. So, I am wondering about the roads for driving both from Zagreb to Radovanovic as well the main tourist sites. From Slovenia we will drive into Istria and make our way down to Split, Bosnia (Mostar), Montenegro, Dubrovnik from which we will fly back to Zagreb for flight home to U.S. The reports I saw talked like Zadar was badly flooded. I will use the info you sent me over the next few weeks to keep an eye on the progress of clean-up or news of any further storms. That is a wonderful site. Thanks again.

Are you familiar with the TripAdvisor forums? There are several threads about the floods on the TripAdvisor Slovenia forum and locals are providing information about road closures, damage etc etc.
Dutch_traveler, I am familiar with Trip Advisor but somehow had forgotten about it. Thanks for the reminder and I will certainly be heading over there. Much appreciation! Thanks.
