Altering Slovenia/Croatia Iitinerary due to weather

We are currently in Bled,Slovenia. We had allowed some time to spend in the Julian Alps; however, due to the snow, we are changing our plans, as we will not be able to drive on the pass.

This frees up some days in our schedule and allows more days for our Croatia portion of our trip.

I'm thinking now:

1 day/night in Ljubljana (take public bus to Rovinj)
2 nights in Rovinj (rent car in Rovinj? and drive to Plitvice Lakes)
1 night Plitvice Lakes (turn in car in Zagreb, then public bus to Split
3 nights in Split (public bus to Dubrovnik)
4 nights in Dubrovnik, allowing for possible day trips to Mostar and Kotor
depart

Does this seem like a good idea? Are the distance and public transportation options, reasonable? We will be renting rooms upon arrival or booking soon, since we are still in Slovenia.

I wonder whether you are thinking about Zadar rather than Zagreb as a place to drop the car? Both are worth visiting, and Zagreb has a lot of good museums if you're looking for possible indoor activities.

I'm not sure how much total time you have in Ljubljana. If it's just one day, I'd be tempted to move one of the Split nights to Ljubljana. Ljubljana is a very nice city. However, if the weather is too miserable for enjoying being outdoors, that's a different matter.

If you like to drive then is ok. The simpler map will be Zagreb Plitvice lakes, split, Korcula and Dubrovnik.
