It's me again....I forgot one important question. My husband and I will be travelling to Croatia Sept. 11th for 12 days after an 8 day boat and bike tour. We are thinking of booking accommodations along the way, to give us the freedom of staying longer in one place if we choose to. Is this a wise idea? My thought is...it will not be as busy as in the summer.
Any suggestions?
Thanks :)
I'm doing much of the same but in the next 2 weeks. I'm using Air BnB and quickly found out many hosts also list on Booking and don't update their Air BnB availability. Finally got a confirmation on my 4th try in Dubrovnik. From there...Korcula, Hvar, Split, and Zadar...would like to book day to day so we have wiggle room but with the 24 hour window hosts have to respond it could leave us in flux. I'll be sure to update as we go along...trip starts Monday!
Seems to be true. I went ahead and booked a night in Korcula and a night in Hvar. No problems.
September is outside the tourist season so there should be plenty of apartments available for rental.
Have a good time. Looking forward to hearing about your trip.
All went well. Duration in parenthesis: Durbovnik (5), Korcula (1), Hvar (1), Split (2), and Zadar (2). All booked on AirBnB. Split and Zadar the day before arrival. Great accomodations with great hosts and wonderful locations...really very pleased and actually a bit surprised how well it all turned out! Tremendous value!
