Accommodation in Dubrovnik and Hvar

Check Dubrovnikgardens.com. The owner, Robert, has a 2 bedroom with a kitchen, it is very large. The location is fabulous and off the one of the main streets, meaning no stairs. But, the apt is on the 3 floor if I remember correctly.
We stayed there and loved it. The owner lives on property.

Our Rick Steves Dubrovnik city guide brought us to his rental property (this place) at the end of our tour a few months ago. We entered and exited using stairs from the square in front of the church, so I was confused by the mention of no stairs. It makes sense now that I look at the map.

We didn't go into the units, but the garden was a quiet retreat, and he was very knowledgeable. Thanks for giving me a name for the property, Barbara.

If you look at his website apartments 1&2 are from above the Jesuit Stairs by the church. BUT entrance to apt #3 is from the main entrance to the building down the street from the first landing of the stairs.
The Palace that houses Dubrovnik Gardens was divided up between a few families. It is a huge property and the apts with the gardens, which Robert owns, are not accessible through his main part of the Palace.
It’s a little confusing but when you are physically there you can figure it out.
We rented with 2 other couples. They stayed in the larger apt #3 and we stayed in one of the garden apts.

PS, we knew Robert’s mom, she was a good friend of my husband’s Aunt. Robert is also a licensed tour guide and obviously knowledgeable about his city but also passionate.
