Planning a month long stay in each of 3 Croatian cities: Dubrovnik, Zagreb and Split. September thru November. How do you find reasonably priced monthly rentals?
When we stay in Zagreb, we often work with Ivan Gergely ([email protected]). He has a number of apartments in the old town area (4-5 blocks from central square). He's a reasonable guy. His apartments are clean and furnished.
Thank you Paul. We will start with Ian.
I found my apartments in Italy and Croatia two ways. Asked taxi drivers if they could recommend someone that had a nice place to rent and could really use our money (fantastic) and also through Couchsurfing (which I use alot) querying locals to see if they knew of rentals that were good but not "fancy guesthouses). When I was in Korcula I camped 3 weeks then just asked ladies on the street if they had places to rent. Almost all of them did.

Thanks for your suggestions. Sounds like we do not have to make arrangements before arriving if we are flexible with the type of rental we use. C
