My husband and I will be in Bulgaria late June/early July. We will be renting a car and have been to Sophia before so only one night at the beginning and one at the end are necessary. We’re interested in culture, interesting sites, good cuisine, and interesting towns or cities along the way, but sticking to the main highways. Not interested in switchback too high mountain driving . We also want to take in the black Sea coast . Any must see or fantastic places that you would not miss would be very much appreciated.!

I've enjoyed both of my trips to Bulgaria. And since you brought it up and since I am looking for a side trip in June, maybe I will check flights to the coast. Thank you.

I just looked. The flight is a bit more than I wanted, but the hotel is so inexpensive especially for what you get ..... I might do this. I just sent an email to a guide aquaintance I know in Bulgaria for some advice. This might work. I can not thank you enough.
