Venice Public Transport Prices increasing on Sept 1st

I just watched a video where they explained that the public transport prices in Venice will increase Sept 1st. This would include the bus to/from the airport and the Vaporetto services. If you know you are traveling in Venice after that date, one money saving option is to buy your tickets (pass) now before the price increase. Your tickets would still be valid for the dates you choose upon arrival, but you will save a few euros.

edited to add: Price of single use Vaporetto changing from 7.50 to 9.50 euros.
Bus from airport 10 euros one way.

Thanks for reporting this, Carol. I'll be in Venice in late September, and it's good to know I can save a bit of money by buying vaporetto tickets and passes at least 30 days ahead of time. The one-week pass at 60 euros is a no-brainer because of the number of trips I'll be taking to the other islands. The problem is that I'll be in Venice for 9 or 10 days, and it's by no means clear that a 2- or 3-day pass will be worthwhile for the exte a days. It will depend on whether there are Glass Week or Biennale activities I want to attend on the other islands on the trailing days. The thought of paying 9.50 (or even 7.50) euros for a single vaporetto ride to Murano is disturbing.

Whew!
My daughter just secured, ordered and paid for our Vaporetto transportation from the airport to our hotel for next month. Thank you for sharing this information. If you had a blog Carol I would follow you. I find your information very helpful. Ciao

Thanks for this. I’m flying out of Venice and will arrive a day and a half ahead of my flight home.

Can anyone advise whether the validity goes by date or by actual hours? For example, if I validate a 48 hour travel pass at 3pm on Friday, is that good until 3pm Sunday or is it only valid Friday and Saturday?
