I go hiking in this region a couple of times a year. To find a hotel or apartment, I usually visit the local tourist office website, and either fill out a form detailing my needs or send an email. Within a day, I receive an email containing offers on places to stay. The offers are from the owners and the next steps are done directly with the owners. This has worked remarkably well for me
