what advice do you have for traveling from berlin to Czech republic on when/where do you get cash?
Standard - frequently answered question. The cheapest and most convenient way to obtain local currency is a debit card at a bank owned ATM. === Always ==== And you get cash as you need it. Good idea to carry two debit cards tied to two different accounts just in case one card goes bad.
I travel solo and like to arrive with a bit of local currency, so I would bring about 100 euros and perhaps the Czech equivalent of $100 US that my bank orders for me. I dislike having to search for an ATM immediately upon arrival, and scope one out that I am comfy with (part of a bank, preferably with a secure lobby, use during business hours) for whatever else cash I need during my stay.
