Is this card worth purchasing. Will be there for 10 days in late September

Yes, when the museum part expires you can continue to use it as a transit card by adding funds at any underground station.

We used the card when we spent 4 nights in Lyon and felt it was worth it. The TI also set up a walking tour and a few other sites for us to see.
