We will be in Germany for a week. Has anyone tried to to use the ITIC teacher card? Is it worth purchasing--do many places honor it ? Thank you. D.

Don't spend $25 on this. You are unlikely to have savings that are greater than the cost of the card. The first red flag should be that you can't view available discounts prior to travel. I have seen the discount list and don't believe this is a money saving option.

I don't think it would be worth it. In Germany, there are discounts at some places for German teachers bringing German students but I don't know of any place the ITIC teacher card would be useful. I think it is more useful in the USA, Australia, and New Zealand.

I used my National Education Association membership card for a discount at the Arles arena. I have used it at a few other places that I can not recall right now.
The card came free with my NEA membership. Of course, I paid for the membership but as a teacher, I would have paid my membership dues anyway.
