Italian Opera on the Cheap?

I finally have the chance to hear an opera in Naples, Italy. However, two tickets seem to cost several hundred euro. Is there an affordable source for discount tickets for those whose nomadic days are a little gone?

If you know of such a source, please let me know. I want to invite a friend I met the last time I was in Italy, so standing at the door won't cut it for a special evening. (Of course, if I can't swing it, I shall stand at the door waiting for the half-price ticket!)

I edited the question, but I own the omission. Il Teatro Sancarlo in Naples is the space I'm hoping for. They are doing Il Trovatore when I'll be there this year.

I see that, other than the first night, there are tier seats available for 70 euro ($90). I suppose there will be some added fees on top of that, figure $100 per seat. Not too bad for a good opera performance in a relatively intimate old opera house. The "Palco III Filo Lat. Parapetto" seats look pretty good at that price level, (3rd tier side front rows). You're close to the stage with no columns to obstruct the view.
I see they have "print at home" tickets, which is very convenient.

Sam, truly, thank you so much. I'll follow your instructions. You are so right. I panicked a little and forgot how small that theater is. You've made the trip for me. Seriously, you did. Thank you.
