I will be traveling in a few weeks to Portugal and Spain (1 adult and 2 teens). We will be in Lisbon for 3 days, then Seville 3 days and Madrid 4 days. Air/Train costs and Hotels already covered. I am looking for any recent travelers that can advise what I should estimate for costs per day/ per person for meals, local transport (tram/ metro/ bus) and incidentals. In looking through Rick's guides and a few other websites, I am anticipating 60-70 Euros per person/ per day. Does this sound realistic? Breakfast is included at our hotels. Any guidance greatly appreciated.
Sounds reasonable to me. Tours entry tix would be xtra. Cocktails/wine and soft drinks can be very expensive.
I budget $100 per day when 2 share a moderate hotel room.
And usually I do not spend it.
Hi. That should be plenty unless you like to splurge. One of the biggest variables is dinner - could be anywhere from 10E per person to 50E per person depending on how much you enjoy fancy / expensive dining. Enjoy your trip!
Thank you for the guidance. We are not too fancy, but I wanted to get a good idea of costs (meal wise in particular) as two teen boys can be a bit costly during meals. Thanks again.
