I had a minor scrape on the bumper of my rental while in France (one way Avignon TGV to Biarritz Airport). The Enterprise agent at return was super nice about everything and explained how I could get all the documentation needed to submit to the Chase insurance provider. I took photos and the rest of the documentation from Enterprise was emailed to me in a single pdf within a week (I emailed asking for it the day of the return and recieved no reply until the package of information arrived. In the meantime I submitted whatever docs I had already to Chase). I just had to wait for my monthly billing statement showing the charge for the rental car and damage to have the claim reimbursed. Very simple process, although not super stressful to begin with since the damage charge was <$200 (which itself was less than what the cost of purchasing the CDW through Enterprise for 2 weeks would have been).
Because I didn't take CDW, Enterprise placed a 1500 euro hold on my card (in addition to the hold for the price of the rental). Because of the type of damage, they only charged me a matrix charge of 180 euros at return for that type of damage (which would have been reimbursed if actual damage was less, but that was the ultimate charge as well).
